Call for Feedback
By The North Star Executive Committee
To the North Star community,
We, as the North Star Executive Committee, are reviewing the last year and determining where to take North Star in the future. We are openly requesting your feedback as we consider where we've been, where we are, and where we'd like to go. North Star is a community-based organization, bringing people together in support and empowering one another to find and create relevant resources.
Rather than dispensing answers, our vision is to provide a spiritually supportive atmosphere in which individuals can find their own answers within the framework of gospel teaching and commitment to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In keeping with that vision, we'd like your feedback regarding a few questions:
1. How have you benefitted from the website and resources already provided (blog, discussion groups, reference to other resources)?
- How is web site design and navigation? (If you haven't already, we'd very much appreciate you filling out the website survey.)
- What specific things would you like to see added or changed?
2. What do you envision for the future of North Star as an organization?
- What resources would you like to see North Star provide?
- How can North Star, as an organization, better empower individuals to create their own resources for education and support?
3. As an all-volunteer, non-profit organization, we are enabled in our efforts to serve primarily by those who are eager to volunteer their talents and experience to the mission of North Star. We've outlined a few of the ways we can use additional support, so if you feel a desire to assist us in any one of these ways, or any other way in which you feel a sense of mission and have an associated skill-set, we'd very much like to incorporate your strength and vision.
4. We are exploring some projects, including a series of short video documentaries telling the stories of Latter-day Saints and their experiences with same-sex attraction. We're seeking individuals who are committed to the gospel and activity in the church who are willing to be interviewed on camera to share their experiences and perspectives. We very much appreciate your contributions and involvement with North Star thus far and look forward to continually creating better ways to strengthen and assist Latter-day Saints seeking community, education, and positive motivation in their experiences in relation to same-gender attraction.
