Its a beautiful sunday and I hope to go out later , I,m going to visit the MCC gay church here in Manchester to see how I feel and so I have decided to not go to LDS church this sunday. I have an issue / concern about masturbation avoidance / asexuality as a long term goal in my calling so I will not get the aronic preisthood for the time being. I want to go to the MCC church and see how I feel. They have a service and chat and refreshments afterwards .

How was the meeting of the MCC church?
Chat and refreshments would certainly work for me! |

Hi Ted
Thank you for reading my post. I'll be honest and say I felt a sense of deja vu at the MCC service because holiness aside I felt intimidated because it reminded me of when I was younger and trying to measure up to more attractive gay men in groups I find this makes me less confidant and so I would rather develop in a straight church. |

Happy to get to know you a little, Henry.
I'll have to think about developing in a straight church. It sounds perilous - but doable. In a "perfect" world, none of us would age... or sag... or go bald... Competing with youth is pointless. oh, well. Besides, it seems that our goal for attending church is to fellowship with those who believe as we do and experience the benefits of displaying and viewing the spiritual beauty that is shared with our fellow believers, and reeived from the Spirit. I've never heard of anyone having a chat and refreshments with the Holy Ghost... oh, well. I hope that you will be able to find peace in the LDS church - to find those who are sincerely seeking to "bear one another's burdens that they may be light." Please pray for and live worthy of the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost - He will be a great comfort to you as you grow from Grace to Grace. The Latter-day Saints are not perfect, my dear fellow - especially when it comes to people like us who are so very much out of the mainstream. I hope that one day we will be able to be loved and accepted by the larger group in the ways that the Lord would have us love and accept. Later - Ted |

I do not consider myself to be asexual. I am simply not participating in sexual behavior at the present time.
