Young Adults :: Community and Resources

There are often differences in the way those of various generations or cultures approach the issue of same-gender attraction. Because those of us who are young adult age and who are looking for support, friendship, and resources are doing so in a very different culture than those of our adult peers, we've found it helpful to seek additional support and community among other young adults who share similar life circumstances. If you are looking for greater insight into your feelings and how they will influence your life, hopefully some of the resources we've gathered here will be of some help.

We at North Star affirm that as a son or daughter of God with a divinely granted capacity to choose how you live your life, you have multiple positive and healthy options available to you. We encourage you to seek the Spirit in your life and develop a prayerful relationship with your Heavenly Father so He can give you strength and guidance that will help you meet your potential as His child.

Not only is it important to recognize that many of the well-intended resources that are available on the topic of homosexuality are unavoidably biased, it's also important to recognize that your personal relationships have a lot of influence in how you end up viewing related issues. Follow the Church's advice about choosing good friends and avoiding temptation as you seek greater personal insight on this topic.

As individuals who believe in and are trying to live according to the principles and standards of the Church, we've tried to assemble a variety of resources that will help you to move forward in the gospel in a way that will be spiritually, emotionally, and socially enriching.
