North Star Steering Committee

Introduction

For those who value the mission of North Star and who wish to more actively participate in furthering that mission, we invite you to join the North Star Steering Committee. The work of the Steering Committee is conducted via an email list-serve and is open to those who feel a sense of mission around strengthening and educating members of the Church with regard to same-gender attraction and related issues. Because of the breadth of our audience, we encourage men, women, parents, spouses, family members, friends, and interested priesthood and auxiliary leaders to share their perspectives, visions, and talents with us as we seek to jointly create a safe, loving, and integrated place in the Church for those dealing with these issues.

Participation in the Steering Committee is limited to financially contributing members of the North Star community whose beliefs concerning homosexuality are consistent with the values and teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and who are supportive of North Star's mission.

The North Star Steering Committee daily e-mail volume varies but can be as high as several messages per day. If you do not have the time or inclination to deal with a high volume of messages, then this level of participation may not be appropriate for you.

Asking occasional questions to members of the North Star Steering Committee does not require membership. Instead, contact us via the web site, and your questions will be passed along to list members for comment and response.
