If you are a believing and committed Latter-day Saint who has been touched by the issue of same-sex attraction or gender dysphoria in some way (i.e., you are a man or woman who experiences same-sex attraction personally, a parent or family member, or perhaps you are or have been married to someone who has dealt with the issue), we would love to consider you for this project. The core requirements for those who participate are that you:

  • Be an active and believing member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints;

  • Believe in, support, and are striving to maintain a lifestyle in harmony with the core doctrines of the Church

  • Feel firm in your commitment to continue to live the gospel of Jesus Christ and have found peace and contentment in that decision, whatever your personal circumstances.

If you are interested in exploring possible participation in the project—in allowing us to film you or in sharing your story via a personal essay—please complete the Prospective Participant Questionnaire. If you have additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.

Also, if you know anyone who you think would be a good candidate for this project, please send them our way.

How are you interested in contributing? *
If yes, please note your previous faith and any potential relationship between your conversion and your gender identity.
Previous Church discipline is no way a disqualifier—we would simply like all candidates to be in full fellowship at the time of essay/video publication. If you are currently not in full fellowship, please still fill out the application as this project will be ongoing and we would love to still include your voice when in full fellowship.
With their permission, please share contact information and a brief description of prospective participant.
